P. Singh, MS, FACCS, FIACS, FIAMS, BCCS, returned home after attending India Medical Tourism Conference cum Exhibition and International Conference held in UK and Brazil respectively.
In his speech at India Medical Tourism Conference, London, UK, he emphasized that medical facilities in India are much advanced and in tune with the world standards. "More and more patients from other countries are coming to India for specialist treatment", he added.
Dr. Singh delivered two lectures in the Brazilian Congress of Aesthetic Medicine in Brazil where he was invited as a faculty. Jalandhar-based Dr. Singh delivered his first lecture on Obesity and discussed in detail the factors responsible for Obesity. His comprehensive lecture regarding the investigation, diagnosis, treatment and complications of obesity was widely accepted and appreciated by the audience that included many specialist doctors from different parts of world.
In his second lecture Dr. Singh introduced uses of new medical and surgical techniques to combat effects of Ageing. He pointed out that patient should wisely choose a learned and knowledgeable Cosmetic Surgeon, as more than 12 surgical techniques were available to correct the wrinkles, loose skin and other effects of Ageing. "Only a well qualified and an experienced cosmetic surgeon can choose the right course of treatment and then decide upon the appropriate medicine to be administered after the operation," he added.
Dr. Singh also addressed gatherings in Canada and USA and told NRI community about the advanced and improved medical facilities in India.
Dr. B. P. Singh is credited with developing and modifying the Lipo-suction and developing the Lipo-injection techniques that are named after him as "Singh\'s Lipo-suction Technique" and "Singh\'s Lipo-injection Technique". These techniques revolutionized the concept of Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Singh is the only surgeon from India to be certified from International Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He was one of the seven invitees around the globe that participated in Round Table Discussion on Ear Construction in Tokyo, Japan. Only surgeon from South East Asia who got invited to World Congress on Cosmetic Surgery at Sydney, Australia, in the year 2001, he has received \'World Leader of Cosmetic Surgery Award\' and \'Best Scientific Presentation Award\' in Mumbai, in the year 2000. The prestigious \'The Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery\' in Sydney, Australia has conferred him with a rare honour of the Fellowship.
